Now we have seen the PS4 I will be interested in seeing the pre-order numbers for the PS4 and Xbox1 in a few weeks time and see who is coming out on top.

Means really nothing. Face it the americans will buy the x box one in masses. I wouldnt be surprised if X box one will dominate US like it did last gen.

Sure. But Launch numbers arent intresting. Intresting will be the sales of a full year. What i mean is the xbox will have a massive Launch in the us due ist Loyalist. Not sure how it will sell in the Long term of course.

But i can see Microsoft pulling of a huge Marketing campagne for the X Box one and the issues like drm will not pull off the casual audience that didnt knwo anything about it.

yeah i think so, sony will have more consoles at launch. didn't they even say "release this year in america and europe"? so maybe they use the capacities they would normally have for japan to get extra units for usa and europe.
