The build-up was important as well. Pretty slow start to the conference. Indie focus was good. Followed up with FFXV and KH3 was outstanding. Then this... then the $399 price... very well played, Sony.

It's kind of sad that a company gives us nothing new, just decides to NOT fuck us over, and it's celebrated like no other.

But this was still nice to hear :D

I find it funny that all Sony had to do wasmake an announcement about how something that shouldn't be there in the first place won't be there after all. My gawd I really hope Nintendo comes in and blows away both conferences.

The big moment at Sony's E3 this year? It's way more than that, this will be remembered as one of the greatest E3 moments of all time. Up there with that Twilight Princess reveal. And surprise surprise - both moments are flooded with genuine, elated, applause and celebration from gamers. Not phoned-in hollers and woops from employees planted in the audience.

When you set the bar so low it is easy to look so good.

I think single-player / offline will never be blocked by any publishers in PS4...
