I did not intend to be cryptic as have had nearly a dozen discussions on the issue past month so in error I felt it self evident.  Would venture you were not part of those threads.  I will avoid you as clear to me our personalities are clashing and do not wish to derail the thread any further.  I wish you a good day and leave it at that.

At the current price and with the current policies, I predict:

Xbox One: 30 million
PS4: 120 million

Of course MS will become much more competitive if the One is failing, and will lower the price a lot, and perhaps market it to casuals and families if core gamers won't accept it.

MS will only cut their price to maximize profits, not sell the most volume. So like this gen, PS4 will outsell the One, and MS won't care much.

Don't expect too much of a price cut any time soon.

In an ideal world, even the lowest option would be too much. Unfortunately it is not. Too early to tell anything but I'd say 50 million.

60-80m if the gen is as long as this one they can always recover and change things down the road if sales are below or average
