Yes, I didnt know how the PS4 was priced and yes I'm pretty sure that both Xbox One and PS4 will sell near 25k/week a couple month after their releases while WiiU sales will get better.

Microsoft's problem isn't that the X1 price is absurdly high, like the PS3 launch price was. $499 is definitely steep, but taken by itself is (just barely) within the bounds of what can be called reasonable.
Their problem is that the PS4 is $100 cheaper, and thus looks way better in comparison to the X1.

Fact is Xbone isn't competing with PS3 or 360. It's competing with 2 cheaper consoles. 360 struggled to outsell PS3 when PS3 was more expensive than 360. You think Xbone is not going to find it tough to sell against a cheaper PS4?
Sold out at launch is meaningless unless they ship a large number of consoles. If Xbone's yield problems are true then MS will probably end up not shipping all that many units in 2013, so sold out, yeah, but hiigh sales? I doubt it.

Alternate slant on the "inflation means it's cheaper" "Total pay in some parts of the UK has shrunk by more than 10% since the start of the downturn in 2007, analysis by a union organisation suggests." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22851978 So as I said, £429 now is actually MORE to a lot of people than £425 was back in 2007, irrelivent of inflation. |
I mean working in a phone shop i wouldnt know how many people buy ouy handsets..... they dont come "free" your paying nearly double the odds for the phone
Oh dear yet another 'classic' 'totally unbiased' kowenicki post.
Wages have stayed the same and the price of the Xbox One is still horrendous. Jog on.
This thread convinced me, i'm not going to buy a PS3 in 2006

And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Oh I know how contracts work, you get a free phone, and the cost of the phone is added to your line rental. However, the phone is separate of your contract. The point still stands that there is no upfront cost for the device.
I work on the otherside sorting it out when people stop paying the bills :P So I constantly have the argument of "the phone stopped working" etc as reason for early termination of a contract.

its not really a free phone if in the end your paying 2-3x the amount of it, when line rentals really are about £6:50 for 250 mins 5000 texts and 500 mb data
also its changing now, newer contracts are being set up with two contracts and one direct debit, and one is a credit agreement for the phone, so they are no longer free, starting with the s4
Can somebody make the PS4 inflation adjusted price too?

It's not the next PS3. Somehow this makes the Xbone looks better, It' sad.
