But what good will this do for MS?  It's not like those games aren't coming out for PS4 and it's not like people won't be able to play the demos AFTER E3.  How senseless are their... money spending people?

It's funny and also slightly alarming at the same time that you can be so confused about something so utterly simple. No, people aren't saying that there might be DRM on there because "we haven't heard anything". People are saying there might be DRM on there because we HAVE heard something. From Sony themselves. About leaving it all up to publishers. Are you following? I hope I haven't lost you.

And I made that comment about head in the sand in this thread because anyone who believes there is any sort of DRM on the PS4 according to you, must have their heads in the sand. So for this guy to say there is nothing to report on it, why even bring it up since it apparently doesn't exist? He must believe there is potential there. So his head is clearly in the sand. I do hope that helps.

That doesn't mean the PS4 will have DRM. It means Battlefield 4 will have DRM. It means Fifa 14 will have DRM. Go yell at EA for doing it before yelling at Sony for letting them.

And there it is, laid bare. Like a baby's buttocks, so to speak. Nice to see certain myths debunked...we can stop pretending that the manufacturers are completely at the mercy of third parties now in regards to DRM. Microsoft came up with it, and detailed ways to enforce it. This gives me a tiny sliver of hope that Sony won't do the same..or do it in a way that is less abhorrent and downright deceptive (infinite power of the cloud lol, not only are they bullshitting about its capabilities, they've got some people cheerleading for a 'feature' that screws themselves over). 

Please don't make the same mistakes Sony...all my fingers and toes are crossed right now.

Oh and, nice to know about the third party situation. The only really good news out of this debacle is that Mirror's Edge 2 exists and will be released. Very happy about that.

By the way, no one is yelling at Sony. Sorry if some of you take something like this as a direct attack on Sony. It's adorable though.

By the looks of it; because of M$ paying 3rd party to not show games on the PS4; Sony first party studios are going to be on full force during Sony conference.

His flawless record speaks to his accuracy.  If he was hit or miss then ok, but he has NEVER been wrong.  He's obviously an insider and has information than gamers would never have access to.

It's crazy how much things have changed since the original Xbox. Back then Microsoft executives had problems even meeting with some third parties since they feared pissing off Sony. Now we're at a point where people are having to remind others that third party games being shown and not announced as exclusive are still likely coming to Playstation.
