Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Basic Bundle seems to be going away, what's next?

With both Gamestop & Best Buy leaking rumors regarding the return of the Wii U Basic Bundles in the next week or so, it would seem like Nintendo is phasing out remaining stock. So what is Nintendo's next step? My guess is at E3 Nintendo will:

a) officially announce the retirement of the 8GB bundle

b) cut the price of the Deluxe Bundle to $299 effective the day of E3 Nintendo Direct (so probably Tuesday)

c) introduce a new, white Deluxe Bundle (as it's already coming to Japan)

d) introduce a new bundle with more hard drive space (and a second pack-in game, like NSMBWiiU)

What do you think? Another other guesses?

I don't think so.

I think A,B, and C. no need for 2 skus and a nice price of $299.99.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I think it's in anticipation of potential price reveals for PS4 and or XboxOne, though I'm not really expecting Sony or Microsoft to announce pricing at E3.

That article says that they are redistributing stock meaning they are taking the 8gb from stores that it doesnt sell well and putting it in places its more popular. It could be that they are doing this so the 8gb gets sold out sooner and they can officially discontinue it. Its not like there gonna admit to doing something before they actually want to announce it.

I agree. I think they're going to do a $50 drop on the Basic Bundle and once it's gone, it's gone.
