WTF are you talking about? Sony has no DRM. If theres DRM third parties will inflict it themselves via client and Sony isnt alone in this Nintendo will get it too. MS created a system that virtually screws their consumers out of their ownership and ties them down to a true license. Third parties didnt have to screw you and have their sales affected because MS became their superman today. Sony has no DRM, you can play the PS4 offline. Sony has already said it.

Oh S.T.A.G.E. ...

Nintendo won't have DRM, because Nintendo won't get third party games due to not allowing/implementing such DRM on their console.

The DRM was pushed for by third parties. Sony and Microsoft gave in, because they need third parties. The only difference is that Microsoft gets completely in on the action while Sony is more like a bystander that watches you getting screwed over.

Im really getting sick of reading this. is there proof that third parties pushed this shit on MS on Sony?

Edit: to add, everyone hated nintendo even before this drm shit

Lol you should leave the discussion if your sick of reading that theres more to come, you can't deal?

are u even trying to hide ur flamebait lol....i can deal but thanks for your concern..it would just be nice if someone provided a source with proof that third parties were pushing for this type of DRM...

Flamebait? No no no im not that guy buddy you guys just get crazy this time of the year. If Microsoft and Sony are saying they will let the publishers choose how the drm works for their games it should go without saying that some of the bigger publishers may have had something to do with it being implemented.

i just cant see MS and sony bending over backwards like this for a few publishers and there is no proof that publishers were pushing for it....

MS is just trying to posture themselves close to what Sony said, but that still makes no sense because the Azure cloud system still takes profits out of Gamestop so this means they are still affecting every used game you buy. DRM confirmed completely...they are just rewording shit. Its public relations babble.

I don't agree, that just seems like a convienant response for sony fans. Some of you seem to be painting this picture like microsoft is some evil game company as of late....it's so....overwhelming lol.

This very well could be the last gen for Microsoft. Crazy.

Dude.....just read this....you guys lol. You don't need the gaming industry to believe Microsoft is out of touch with consumers. AT&T and many other companies are as well.

EA is supporting Nintendo.

http://mynintendonews.com/2013/05/22/ea-now-says-it-is-developing-games-for-wii-u-but-has-bigger-plans-for-xbox-one-and-playstation-4/

Only that none of those games are known, except that they aren't EA Sports, Battlefield and whatever else runs on the new Frostbite engine. Could be shovelware. Could be PR speech with no games being in development at all. Could be Star Wars games, because Disney demands them on all platforms.

Sony said they never thought about DRM. MS...created their consoles cloud system around DRM, Sony has no DRM on their console. Look it up.

What Sony said is that they never thought about having an "always on" requirement for their console. This doesn't rule out DRM and Sony has already gone on record that DRM can be used on the PS4 by every publisher that wishes to do so.

Interview with Yoshida:
http://www.cinemablend.com/games/It-Official-PS4-Feature-Used-Game-DRM-Like-Xbox-One-56264.html

"This clears up a few things:
1.) The PlayStation 4 can play games offline without having to be online. This was clarified the day of the PS4's reveal back on February 20th.
2.) Sony will not have any mandatory DRM for used games. You can buy, play, trade used games on the PlayStation 4 just as usual. No additional registration fees, pay-walls or internet registration required.
3.) If you so choose, you can play games from disc, download them from the digital store orremote load them. Sony doesn't mandate any method over the other for multi-format titles.
4.) Just for extra clarification the PlayStation 4 does not and will not require a constant always-on internet connection. "

You are absolutely right. MS hasn't been following anti gamer and anti consumer practices as of late, they have been doing that for years.

The same company that makes their gamers pay for Xbox Live and exploited them for profit to Activision. They can challenge me on it too because I have a link where Bobby Kotick ran around the question of the Xbox Live price hike being because of them and then admitted it that it was for increasing the quality of COD. The reason you dont see this on a Sony platform is because Sony doesn't exploit their gamers.

Tagged. Gotta watch this when I get some time.
