Yoshida himself stated that the console can be used 100 percent offline old school...there is no drm that can pass that...the 24 hour thing is all MS because publishers cant do anything if Sony allows consoles to be offline which they are.

But if you have to go online to activate a game, that statement might be misleading.

We'll have to wait and see what publishers are allowed to do on PS4.

WTF are you talking about? Sony has no DRM. If theres DRM third parties will inflict it themselves via client and Sony isnt alone in this Nintendo will get it too. MS created a system that virtually screws their consumers out of their ownership and ties them down to a true license. Third parties didnt have to screw you and have their sales affected because MS became their superman today. Sony has no DRM, you can play the PS4 offline. Sony has already said it.

Oh S.T.A.G.E. ...

Nintendo won't have DRM, because Nintendo won't get third party games due to not allowing/implementing such DRM on their console.

The DRM was pushed for by third parties. Sony and Microsoft gave in, because they need third parties. The only difference is that Microsoft gets completely in on the action while Sony is more like a bystander that watches you getting screwed over.

Im really getting sick of reading this. is there proof that third parties pushed this shit on MS on Sony?

Edit: to add, everyone hated nintendo even before this drm shit

Lol you should leave the discussion if your sick of reading that theres more to come, you can't deal?

are u even trying to hide ur flamebait lol....i can deal but thanks for your concern..it would just be nice if someone provided a source with proof that third parties were pushing for this type of DRM...

E3 cant come soon enough. There will be no way to spin it from either side.

People are turning their backs on the network pass thing and that's just the online part of the game.

I've said this before, the console market is not a pushover like the PC market.

Without an internet connection it's up to the publishers to... invent telepathy ?

That statement probably doesn't reflect the entire library.

Lets just wait and see. What more can I say?

Frankly. I hope its completely offline like they're leading us to believe.

Take your pick:

1) Third parties pushed for DRM. Since both, Sony and Microsoft, need third parties, they both implemented it, albeit not in identical fashion.
2) Sony and Microsoft pushed for DRM.
3) Sony, Microsoft and third parties came up with this idea together.

Fact is that DRM will exist on both consoles and it obviously wasn't gamers who demanded it. Now all you have to do is decide who belongs to the empire of evil.

For now its confirmed that MS is going with DRM so ill go with number 2...

Flamebait? No no no im not that guy buddy you guys just get crazy this time of the year. If Microsoft and Sony are saying they will let the publishers choose how the drm works for their games it should go without saying that some of the bigger publishers may have had something to do with it being implemented.

Sony said they never thought about DRM. MS...created their consoles cloud system around DRM, Sony has no DRM on their console. Look it up.
