Microsofts DRM is professional status. Sonys DRM is rookie status. Xbox is the police box out of the 3 because it will have theost redtrictions and unnecessary mandatory things implemented.

At the end of the day, MS's DRM is harsher than the Sony DRM

No need to panic

Edit: naw im kidding ;)

Oh, can you link me the source you have about Sony's DRM technology? As you seem to know more than we do about it :)

Screw M$ and $ony and get a WiiU.

Lol, exactly. People oointing to this are really desperate. Just because its there doesnt even mean they are interested in using it. Until we start getting rumors like we did with x1 there is no reason to believe this will be the case

well, ii think they won't because they think the backlash will be too big. maybe they have that system where developers can decide but they won't have it with their own games. but sony is the company who uses an online pass where you have to pay money if you want to play an used game online and this already this gen so i think it's obvious that sony likes the idea to get money from used games.

Do you not realise that gamers want both Microsoft and Sony to NOT implement these things?

It's a backwards step in gaming,a  hindrance and it breachers consumer rights. A lot of gamers have already said they won't buy or support either console if they go ahead and fully block used games and require an online connection.

Neither Sony nor Microsoft have given clear answers so this thread really is pointless. The only reason Sony fanboys on other websites have been so vocal is because Microsoft have confirmed that some type of online DRM and used game blocking will be implemented. But neither company have divulged details. Sony have said things that puts them in a more positive light for gamers but a lot of things are still up in the air.

Can we not have a thread about this every 5 minutes.

Well, we see a lot of people targeting Microsoft and assuming THEY are starting this and they are setting an exemple for other companies (like Sony) to do it.
This thread is all about this and to remind them that Sony is as "evil" as any other companies, money is their first priority :P

While I do not care in my case as I want to be able to first play without the disc and start all of my game without the need to insert the disc and also I'm always connected : I agree that no DRM is better.

To be honest mate your arguing for no reason. You're just reacting to the internet. All the internet does is complain about one thing or another.

And neither Sony or Microsoft should be branded as evil. Come on man, don't turn yourself into a console loyalist who just defends one console as well. That makes you no better than the people accusing microsoft.

At the end of the day we just need to wait until both MS and Sony clear up this mess. And until then we as consumers need to show both companies that gamers like ourselves will not accept the used game blocking/always online from either company. Sure it might not affect you, doesn't affect me either. But it's still an anti consumer policy and it should be got rid of from both consoles.

The twitter campaign by GAF was a good way to air these complaints from gamers. And a lot of gaming journalists and key industry people have picked up on the view of the general public. The fact is that DRM should not be on consoles. So rather than arguing about which is the better console and how Sony could do the same thing, lets try and make a difference so neither console has it, because in the end that will benefit gamers most.

easy solution = get a Wii U!

The difference is that since the hoopla on MS started, Sony has specifically come out and stated officially that they are not requiring any form of internet connection and that in itself removes the entire DRM argument.

Umm if you read the article it says that it doesnt require a internet connection the disc use rfd tags that remember if its been used on a console before

Read that after. However read my last post. I still think its not going to happen now.

Why I agree that we may have already heard something by know it doesn't mean they aren't planning on using it.  For all we know GameStop doesn't even know yet unlikely but still a possibility.  Especially since no one has seen the ps4 disc yet
