Normal mode is way too easy, no challenge whatsoever. Extremely boring.

It gets more interesting in Nightmare and beyond, if you play with friends. But a lot of people don't like replaying the same game over and over. Too bad because Inferno is the most fun, but you need a dedicated party to do it right.

Overall the game wasn't even remotely as compelling as Diablo II was. There was just no reason to keep playing after clearing Inferno.

wouldn't know, haven't played it...

...but my friends that played it on PC hated it and are telling me not to buy it for ps4. that has lowered it's position in my "want to buy" list but i still kind of want to buy it. it's a type of game i like and frankly -- it's not like i'm overwhelmed with an abundance of choice in this genre.

..if ruin/warrior's lair would release for vita maybe that would fill my void but as that appears to be vapor-ware i'll probably pick up DIII regardless of being a "okay" game instead of an "amazing" game.

No idea as I haven't played it. Though I lost interest in the first Diablo very quickly. On the other hand I finished Dungeon Siege III and that's from the same genre, so I could see myself playing through it.

EDIT: This is not the place to talk about exclusivity. Go into the other thread for that.

hmm maybe it's the whole point and click type game play in general. I also couldn't take dragon age origins for it, but liked the combat system in dragon age 2.

Oh I didn't like Dragon Age that much either, though I played Dungeon Siege on 360 and it was pretty much a button masher, so I can see why all the clicking could get boring or frustrating.

I liked it, it wasnt the best by any means and it wasnt great. but i like what i have seen so far for the console version. i may pick it up for ps4.

Yeah D1 and D2 are great but D3 is just boring.

If you go back and play the earlier Diablo games again, you might realize that the franchise has always been about boring.

D3 got boring fast, especially with the stupid auction.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

Never played any Diablo game. I will judge it myself when I get it for PS3.

The video gameplays I watched made me interested.

@Famousringo, I have played 2 recently and it is still fun to play but I got so bored with D3 rather quickly. The story just wasn't compelling enough this time and while I still have friends that enjoy 2, they also don't play 3 so that limits the fun there. I beat it once but was never drawn to go higher or try another class. I also didn't like the pay to win auction system.
IDk seeing as how it'll probably be the first Diablo game many PS3 gamers have played, which is most likely, then you should enjoy the game. I just don't think it's everything some people are making it out to be. I am also not alone on my feelings of preferring 2 over 3 as many a PC gamer has said the same.

Sorry for replying this way but the quote and reply system always gives me an error and I cant post.

DIII is amazing.
