Pretty awesome sounding concept.

The most interesting thing about this for me though is yet another developer saying they are using MS cloud computing to go "beyond the hardware". Turn 10 also stated Forza 5 will use real time cloud computing.

Many people have laughed at the concept of cloud computing working in real time gameplay and yet we now have several developers saying it does and that they are using it.

I'd wait a bit before puting any faith into cloud computing. Sim City had also claim to use cloud computing and that was proven to be a load of BS.

Which are lies. Look at Simcity. Cloud computing in actual gameplay isn't available yet. Maybe a couple years in the future but for now they're marketing buzzwords.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Oh Im aware of that and PR spin is always a constant thing in the gaming industry.

That being said MS has been building and expanding their server side of the company for years now to massive success. In fact its one of the fastest growing parts in the entire company.

So its not unreasonable to think MS may have made some genuine breakthroughs in the cloud computing space. Remains to be seen still of course but the concept is great and in the long run if it works it could be a huge game changer.

I think its more to do with the dedicated servers than anything, regarding Titanfall atleast. It sounds like what we have with MMOs currently.

Thats what I got from the info anyway.

Welcome back btw

Read my other post.

MS is not new to the server side of things in fact theyve been hugely commited to it lately. Its one of the most profitable sides of their business. Whose to say they havent made some breakthroughs?

Sony and Nintendo are far from the only innovators in the industry. This could all be marketing buzz but it very well could be the real thing.

I believ they specifically mention offloading AI to the cloud. That alone would take quite a bit of strain off the hardware.

And thanks

Yeah, it sounds like an MMO. The server does the computing for NPCs and such.

It must have a pretty big scale if they "need" the cloud. Should be interesting to see if we get gameplay at E3.

Im sure we will. Itll be part of the EA segment of MS conference where they also announce Mirrors Edge 2 for X1

Seriously MODS... you guys need to take action.

Sales comes in to just about every thread and makes a dig at playstation fans and flames in some way or another. He is also one of the top users who are being moderated.

Why don't you just do something?? Once again its the same people causing trouble in this case ...sales, kowenicki. I stand by what i suggested in the Monthly ban report thread. This is gonna get worse over E3.

Anyways...i hate exclusives and i hate always online but damn the game is looking good!
