How does it stack up to Symphonia ? I loved ToS on the Gamecube back in the day and was excited to be able to play Abyss on the 3DS...but Abyss left me disappointed ...
Uncharted 3... but that is actually before The Last of Us.

It's a little below Symphonia but still a great Tales game.
The start is excruciatingly slow though. I'm around....30% done with the main story, so far it hasn't really gotten too interesting yet. Lots of political stuff.
(So far there hasn't been the "Tower of Salvation" moment when the story changes and crap) I really like some of the characters though. And voiced skits are nice. I need more time to be able to accurately give my views of it, but so far it's very decent, after it's slow start, the battle system and the pacing is finally starting to get interesting.

I'm good, actually, I just finished my first playthrough of Alan Wake, as well as my second playthroughs of Tomb Raider and Dust: An Elysian Tail.
I'm also working on my 7th ME2 playthrough, but I'm taking my time with that one.

Ahh, a severe case of Twilight Princess syndrome, but good to hear that there is still a nice JRPG hidden behind a boring start.
