I like it. It's plain and simple, and that's a good thing to me. I don't want some crazy curvy space shuttle bullshit, just something that looks nice and is convenient.

No, for the main console and Kinect. I always did like the design on the controller. It's streamlined, slicker, and if they've fixed the god awful d-pad then cool. However, the 360 pad I find too big, I think this might be the same.

I never saw anything wrong with the design of it in the first place. It's probably the first design I've seen for a console that looks like it can mesh well with your entertainment center.

The design looked fine to me anyway. What I find strange is how people get so hooked up about the look of their devices tbh. I put my consoles in my AV cabinet and only look at them when I have to change a disk usually as I can turn the console on and off with the controller anyway. In the grand scheme things as long as they're not an eyesore I don't see the problem. Anyone saying the the Xbox One is in someway hideous is seriously deluded imo. It's no worse than 99% of Bluray players or cable/Sky boxes

I wouldn't say it's ugly per se, in my opinion it looks like two different boxes were split in half and than glued together.

Not sure if this is on purpose to show that it's both gaming and multimedia device, but I think it would be much more pleasing to eyes if front panel split was horizontal along the whole width, instead vertical as it is now.

I was reliefed that it does not look like a console. It looks like a device I actually can put underneath my TV.

Something like that would have been a nightmare:

It's...a box. It looks OK. I reserve judgement until I see the PS4, obviously.

But I prefer the looks of the Wii U so far.

I'd rather own a system that looks like 2 GC duct taped together.

I'm 30 and old enough to know what a VCR looks like.  VCRs used to look cool in the 80s!

I also still have a DVD/VCR combo.  Granted I use the DVD side 99% of the time.  It is still neat to have ability to put an old VCR tape that my parents recorded of me playing sports (funny my dad only video taped me playing USA football and never did for soccer...
