I don't mind what it looks like, I do mind that it still needs a power brick and now also Kinect required.
And will it work standing on it's side?

I move my consoles around the house a lot, kids play or watch movies in the living room, I take it downstairs at night to play on the projector. Easy with ps3, you only need a standard power and hdmi cable in each location. Digging out a power brick and recalibrating Kinect every time is a pain in the ass.

Yeah, if you move the console around a lot, having to also move Kinect will be a pain in the but along with the power brick.  I use to do this a lot in my home as well so I know where you are coming from.  I am sure MS never thought about that or if they did probably got left on the design floor of "Do not care" pile.

With Slot loading I do not see an issue with having it on the side but the thing is huge so it might not be practical

It's fugly. I especially hate the two looks on it

It's a box. Don't hate or love it, just meh.

It looks more grown up than either the XBox or the XBox 360. I prefer it over its predecessors.

I'd go along with that.  I wouldn't mind have it under my television if non-gaming company came over.

Beyond that, it's a straight up "eh" for me.  It reminds me of a CD-changer I used to have in my truck, which had a sliding cover over one half that you could push back over the other half to reveal the cartridge slot.  Had a groove on the side just like the XO, too.

It's just a very neutral design that I can't bring myself to feel much about one way or the other.

Looks like my old VCR. No, ill never get used to it. The thing probably weighs a ton as well.

Actually it looks like the same size as the original PS3 and probably weight the same.  The original PS3 definitely was not light.

Yea, i have the original Ps3. I just prefer the console to be light so i can bring it to multiple rooms of my house, but if its supposed to be a cabblebox taking over my livingroom, i guess it woouldnt matter that much.

Its fugly and bulgy but most of that extra bulge is there to prevent any overheating/RROD disaster. The first redesign will probably make it a lot smaller especially if the skip the 22nm chipset process and make their first redesign using 14nm chips which will probably be cost effective and widely available in late 2015. Another minor thing that bothers me about the design is that the camera lens on the Kincet 2.0 is not in the center.

It's essentially the same size as the original Xbox 360.

The disc slot is 120mm wide, both sides are equal, so that's a little more than 240mm In total or about 9 1/2".  Add to that, the extra space between, and you're looking at something probably close to 12".  Steve Totillo had mentioned that it was as deep as the orginal Xbox 360.  So, 10".  So the only question is how tall/thick it is, and my guess is pretty close to 3".

That depends on what you're talking about.  The Kinect 2's depth sensor is center-square of the Kinect face behind a plastic lens.  The RGB camera is off to the side.
