I don't know where in Canada you live but a friend of mine is at work for Videotron making an app for Xbox One and this will provide Illico TV to Xbox One he says. I'm sure Bell and others will or are already doing the same.

Shes says its an early build, I curious how well it works with alot of noise around it. Say im at a small get together at my place with about 10 people and everyone's talking. Will it still hear me??

At one of the side sessions at the Xbox reveal.  MS demostrated how the Xbox can filter out all sounds besides the one coming from the person it has ID.  In the demo there was a bunch of reporters and all kind of background noise going on and Kinect was able to single out just one person speaking so I would say that Kinect 2.0 will hear you fine.

Wasn't that staged in the end?

Yeah I heard it was staged, but they were reinacting what it will be able to do.

It would be nice if it could do that at launch, but it might be more of a Wii U type situation where it takes a few months to get it running smoothly.

it's noticeable slow to respond but doesn't seem any worse than siri or any other voice command interpreting software i've ever used.

I do not remember any word on that being staged.  I am not talking about the reveal where Don Mattrick has his hands in his pocket when he is demoing Kinect.

check out this video from the Seattle Times http://video.seattletimes.com/2402417173001/  go to the 5:00 in the video to see their demo where they talk about the sound filtering.

Nice

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Oh ok I didn't see that, I was thinking of the reveal. I have to say that Kinect 2.0 looks pretty great, that sound isolation thing is really impressive.

It'll likely be fixed by launch or updated / fixed during first year just like WiiU.

New OS / major features have those types of things. Why do you think PS4 wasn't demonstrated and why do you think Nintendo moved to pre-recorded Nintendo Directs vs live on-stage demos?

Well PS4 is rumoured to be invisible and pre-recorded Nintendo Direct's are equal parts awesome and awkward.

I feel sorry for people that still pay for overpriced cable... Obviously has more features than Nintendo TVii but will people actually care or get excited about this enough? I don't think it will become a huge selling point but that is just me because I only use 2 streaming services which cost me less than $20 a month. You should see some cable bills in USA... Monopolistic greedy bastards that will never agree to a la carte option.
