I hope these games are in a way evidence of developers moving away from FPS and into Third person adventure games, We need more of these , BADLY.
and less zombies please.
It's a shame there's no side by side PC release, could of avoided the impending DayZ madness. XBLA is huge, but still, a lot of potential success is lost especially if they're banking on this supporting them until Class4, which is even more like DayZ.

But everyone is being very toughtful and reasonable. Talk about fun T_T
They're both zombie games but they're not similar at all other than that. LoU will be a linear, heavily scripted and cinematic thriller like Uncharted, SoD is an open world sandbox type game with a mission structure. I am buying both and looking forward to both. However, I know LoU will be pretty good. I have no idea how SoD will turn out. It is my 2nd most anticipated XBLA exclusive of 2013 though, right behind Super T.I.M.E. Force.

Pretty amazing video, especially the part where he goes into the house for supplies and the shit hits the fan. This is why in a way I am looking forward to this game more than Last of Us, or at least looking forward to playing some parts of it. The design and gameplay are much more open ended. You truly never know what will happen.
Also, I have read impressions from people saying they are 15-20 hours into the game and not done yet. Pretty spectacular for a $20 downloadable title. And the game has passed certification so it is officially coming Wednesday for 1600 Allard Spacebux.

What I'm curious about is the stamina thing. You can't take all on yourself on a zombie horde, because once your stamina hits zero, you're pretty much the most vulnerable thing on Earth. Apparently, if zombies surround you, you're screwed for good. And yes, the game is based itself in non-scripted events, so that pretty much gives infinite replay value!
I something about this. I don't think it'll top the Last of Us. but it should be fun though.
I'd rather play an open world game and do WTH I want. I'm tired of being told what to do in games. SOD is something for a change.
