Forums - PC - Last day for the Alan Wake Steam sale. Jump on it all DLC and the full game for $4. Should I buy it?

Since I gave up my Xbox 360 and got a pretty good AMD run latop I thought I would pick it up. Its the last day for the Steam Sale, so what do you guys think? Should I buy it? Im a big silent hill fan but I hope this game isnt repetitive. It's one of the 360 "exclusives" that always eluded my memory.

Yeah man...If I didn't play it id buy it for 30 bucks or less in a snap. At 4 dollars you'd be crazy... Make sure to get the DLC American Nightmare too as its awesome.

The game isn't as scary as it should be, or as action as it could be...but it feels unique amongst the sea of generic 3rd person games we've received this gen.

Get it, it's unlike anything else I've played this gen. At $4 too? You'd be a fool not to buy it!!

American Nightmare is included in the four dollar bundle. Yeah, I think I'll pick it up. Sucks that it isnt as scary as it should be.

They really are not going for those "boo" style scares for the most part...which is good. But the game also never gets under your skin like a Silent Hill would. So it kind of sticks in limbo of scaryness lol.

I wasn't sure that I liked it well after I finished it, but then I realized it was an awesome package overall and when American Nightmare came out, I gobbled that up like a hungry kitten.

Nothing wrong with a little caution, but I havent gamed on My PC majorly since BF1942 was on and Counterstrike was huge. I've always preferred console gaming but I missed this on the Xbox 360 and heard mixed reviews. Even at four bucks I want to load worthy products on my comp at this time. Thanks though and yeah its also to promote this crazy offer. Thats just nuts!

American Nightmare has pretty good writing and more weapon selection. It is pretty much one big 3-4 hour episode compared to 6 chapters and 2 dlc's of the main game. I quite enjoyed the Twilight Zone feel of the series.
