I love the final battle music for Skies of Arcadia. It not only manages to convey the idea that this is the final obstacle to overcome, but it also really captures the sense of adventure and optimism that is present throughout the game.

Ah MegaDrive, my second love... even with its limited chipset it has some amazing boss tunes. Contra, Streets of Rage, Sonic, Vectorman all kicked ass...

You can still find classic Sonic sounds in some of the newer games...but yeah, its sad for the most part how things turned out musically and otherwise for Sonic.

Sonic Genesis games have been remixed like crazy by some amazingly talented musicians. Here are a few tunes which blew my mind -
