This guy ..... make excellent points (in my opinion) about the XboxOne and PS4. The only game I'm looking forward to is SLY 5 for the PS4, but ....after what I read and my experience with this gen.....I'm all for going full Nintendo for a while, might even try out the Ouya or Game Stick one day. (This is why I was hopping for Sly Cooper to be a Nintendo IP)
Sony I worry the most, the PS4 feels like a console dress as a PC for Halloween. The production prices on these consoles must ....be like taking a shot gun to the companies finance.

I still have my hopes for Sony and Microsoft, but be a sure, consoles will never become PCs. What made the PS2 and Wii a success was first, the lower prices and production and second, exclusives games. Same with the DS, 3DS and IOS, simplistic design and OS easy fun simple games that made each console stand out.

I want to see more of that, I want Nintendo to re-design the Pro Controller. Clearly this controller was design for FPS games. Honestly, I think Nintendo should bring back the GameCube controller design back, its arguely one of the best design controller. I felt the C-Stick was a clever feature, perfect for camera controll.

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

That's the same reason they're going to standard PC-based architectures. Backwards compatibility will be an easier thing to handle, production costs and development costs will be lower because it's more common components.

This transition between consoles/PCs has been in the making for years, the manufacturers have just tried to avoid it. I imagine this might our last true console-generation. Following ones, might simply be more PC-hybrid based.

Ultimately, I believe we will end up seeing more 'game' specific machines that are essentially closed PCs. Publishers will have a lot more power in these models for example Sony, Nintendo, etc. It will be the games they create moreso than the 'systems' to play them on.

BLAH BLah Blah blah Blah...I waited for him to say he hates games...Nothing he said was good point

True, very true. You have no idea how happy I was to hear Sony get rid of the cell hardware, for a PC like hardware. But my is about the consumer, and I'm not talking about fanboys with thick wallets, the mass consumer, new gamers, non gamers. Are they willing to buy a PS4 or XboxOne for the steap price?

The 360 was built like a PC too which is why multiplats went relatively smooth for them. Sony decided to be cost effective and do the same and the cell was a nightmare for everyone except Sony first and second party. Secondly, we dont know about the price just yet.

Are you speaking of the kind of slim wallet that can afford a 1200 $ gaming PC that needs to be replaced every 4-5 years ?

A 400 $ console every 7-8 years and 400$ pc every 4 years seems more affordable to me.

I buy consoles for their non-PC based games that I can play.  That's always been the case. So  usually how console generations have worked for me (Nintendo console + Sony console or Sony Competitor).  This generation,  I'm not falling for the Nintendo hype another year unless they release some really killer fun games.  Nintendo games haven't been great games in my opinion lately.

I'll probably get a launch PS4 and see where the generation goes from there.  If there is one company that I have never been disappointed with their game library so far, it's been Sony.  PS1/PS2/PS3 all had exceptional libraries.  I don't see why that won't continue on PS4.

This guy purposefully goes out of hes way to make things sound more negative than what they really are

So yeah i don't think he made any good points.

First he says the games looked current gen...yet he knows about diminishing returns. Then he says the game trailers were too good to be true.

Meh put it off half way through the PS4 vid. I can only imagine he was more negative about the XBone.

The problem with innovating on console hardware is that its very risky. That's why the Wii U is struggling now. It gambled on the gamepad....and lost.

If innovation is too expensive, or the ideas are not mature enough then don't force it rather wait.

I'll be honest, I didn't watch all of the two videos but jees.. just listening to that guy kills any excitement I have for video games. Not because of his argument for each console, but how bloody depressing his outlook is for the games industry and games. All I see is a jaded gamer who's bored of playing the same old games.. yet, he still buys them and reviews them. Alright then.

Oh and the old diminishing returns chestnut lol.

Remember, it's all base on opinion. There articles and videos like this all over the net for all three home consoles. People are determine that this will be the last console generation.
