Forums - Nintendo - Anyone else worried Wii U simply WON'T get pushed?

Tagged games:

The Xbox 360 and PS3 have shown that developing costs having risen significantly compared to the previous generation. And the simple fact is that Nintendo's franchises sell well as long as the gameplay is fun, more impressive visuals wouldn't really boost sales. So no i don't think Nintendo will push in that department with the Wii-U.

Around the Network

well if NIntendo is smart, to make their console last more than 3 years, they would release a first game that looks slightly better than 360 then push the sequel 3 years later, so people go wow, and purchase it.

I don't really care. I just want the games to look nice and be fun, and at the same time be interesting and satisfying to play. Game's have been doing that for a very long time now.

The people who actually think that games are better based on the number of polygons that are in them are a dying breed in the videogame industry. The industry is growing, but not that section of it.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

No, I'm not, because Retro's project is set to be unveiled at E3, and Retro's games always look incredible. Metroid Prime 3 looked better than most 360 and PS3 games, and it came out only two years into the seventh generation.

Even if that was the case, though, I wouldn't be super worried, because quite frankly, graphics don't mean a ton to me. They're nice, sure, but if it negatively impacts the quality of the story, gameplay, or some other important focus, then I'd rather just not have a great looking game.
