I am currently playing exceed 3(danmaku, vertical) wich is quite good and available in english.

Check out the doujin scene, there are often new awesome games available

I think I remeber having played one of those games, perhaps "Embodiement of Scarlet Devil". There was no translation so I would only start shooting LOL. I'll check this Exceed 3, thanks. As for the doujin, are the downloads safe? Is there a place you find certificate .exe files or ones tested by reliable people?

Never had problems with this one : http://doujingravity.blogspot.com/

Just in case, some online store opened wich sells doujin games translated legally : http://www.ricedigital.co.uk/ (they seem to bug right now)

They don't have many games right now

Crimson Clover is sick and IMO the best on PCs. I think it is free, or you can buy the disk version. They recently released raiden fighters collection to GOG, steam and the like. It is similar to the 360 Raiden fighters collection. Obviously there is shmupmame which will allow you to enjoy (near) arcade perfect emulation of the best Cave, G-Rev, treasure and other arcade shmups

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Thank you all, dudes. I was taking a look at all the sugestions and trying to remember one game I used to love from the arcade times. This is it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guwange
