The disk and the console, no internet needed.

So sony can get money through... telekenes

When the console detects the game is used, then the console simple goes to the internet temporarily for you to put a code or pay the fee directly. It's not always online, you just have to connect to activate your game, no different from online passes.

Actually, there are evidences. The RFID chip patent made by Sony is a big one, and it would work without internet connection to block used games.

Evidences plural and you name one that has been patented before and never used with no way to unlock the game which is the whole point...

Read op. No internet connection required. Sony never thought of it. Now stop spewing nonsense

Nope. That's a december 2012 patent, as you can see here: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2013/0007892.html

Unlocking the game would be a simple question of connecting onto the internet. The console wouldn't be always online that way, and you could "enjoy the PS4 without an internet connection at all" if you bought only new games. Anyway, I'm not saying they will use that patent or anything, but it's entirely possible and it would go along with what Sony said about the PS4.

Good. If this holds, I simply won't buy 3rd party games that have DRM restrictions. This will limit me somewhat, but limited is better than none. And I have no trouble sticking to this. Bethesda games, developed and published have been on my perma-ban list since my horrible experience with Fallout 3 on PS3, which was itself preceded by a nightmare experience with Oblivion on on the 360. They were alone until I added Gearbox, after Boarderlands 2 glitched out on me 8 billion or so times.

"told reporters that any requirement for users to register a game online in order to play it would be left to game publishers"

When the console detects the game is used then it connects to the 3rd party publishers severs. Again no real difference from online passes. The only difference is that instead of multiplayer, it will be the whole game.

It's entertaining watching all the Master Chiefs trying to spin this as something bad so Xbox One isn't the only console with horribly shitty DRM

But the whole "we are so picked on" "we are so mistreated" and "it's us against the world" bullshit is getting old imo. Xbox fans aren't mistreated. They have no problem pointing out the PSN hack, Sony's online passes, Giant Enemy Crab, and Riiidge Raaacer.

But don't you dare lol at the console DRM, the reveal, or Kinect watching you fap because they will be deeply anally hurt by it and cry

After the PS4 reveal I heard the laughs. "How can you have a console reveal... without revealing the console hahahahaha". Even Major Nealson got into the act on twitter.

Now that the sand is in the other vagina... it is itchy is it not?

"Sony fans troll us" and yet there you are in every PS4/PS3/Vita/PSP or Sony related thread typing until your fingers bleed.

I don't know whatever fuck it. Norm Macdonald rules btw

"How can you have a console reveal... without revealing the console hahahahaha".
