I can tell you this: they'll be getting a lot of exclusive (and exclusive timed) content. Third parties will make Microsoft gamers their favorite children.
Sucks for everyone else.

For a company with so much money to "throw around" they sure love to nickel and dime their customers. DRM for used games, charging for online MP, selling HDDs...
They certainly are spending a ton of money on the XBox One. A billion dollars on game development. $400 million to the NFL.
What's another $30 million or so to get a company to bite on an exclusivity deal. If you're already shelling out $200k for a Lamborghini you might as well not cheap out on the rims.
Billion dollars wont buy you many AAA exclusives, hardly a business model you could stick with over a extended period of time.

Doesnt matter how bad MS treats consumers, they bag them with third party exclusives and thats all she wrote until MS gives them another reason to complain.

Sony did it with GTA for during the PS2 era. Since then MS has never forgotten and every chance they get they go for third party exclusives like madmen. Its coming for sure because they do it every gen and have been paying wildly since the first Xbox and they wont stop now. Once MS gets predictable they really are predictable, no matter how many surprises they pull out...everyone knew at least one or two of them were coming. The question that always remained was...what games are they?
Well what are key third Party titles. Mirrors Edge 2? I dont think so. Key third Party titles are Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, GTAs. That are the key titles that would move a huge amount of Systems.
Between look what i have found
http://www.wog.ch/index.cfm/details/product/31724-Dragon-Age-3-Inquisition
Dragon Age 3 is most likely not an exclusive. And even if it is i dont think that it would be a key title.
And between the EA Sport game deal alone cost Microsoft 400 M USD. ( if sources are true of course)
In the end Microsoft will also like to make Money with there new console ( like every other Company too)
Even if the whole Company is woth 300 Billion ( i dont know) they will produce the X Box one to make Money and not spending the most Money to have the most exclusives.
It's probably just gas. You need a good fart. I'm talking about one of those ones where you lift a leg and let it work for so long that your leg gets tired. Trust me, you do that and you'll be surprised how much better you feel about a lot of things. Check the sig, yo.

I'd be fine with MS securing some western exclusives and Sony securing some eastern exclusives.
