Wearing 3D glasses to play a HandHeld system would just look plain ridiculous. Glasses-free was the way to go.

Also, Nintendo put the 3D Slider there for a reason. If 3D just isn't working out for you, turn it off.

Effectiveness >>>>>>>>>>>> looks.

If you read the OP you'd know I already have slider practically all the way down. The issue is I want to use 3D, but can't as it hurts the gaming experience more than it helps. Hence I'm saying glasses 3D be better, and that Nintendo should have atleast made it an option if not the only method.

im one of those "small population" that like to pump the slider to the top and think that the 3d on my 3ds gave me no problem at all....

the only complain i have is there is no 3d movies :(....not even trailer... come on nintendo!

I think you might want to take a look at my post on the previous page. Although so far v2.0 is far better than the later versions of 3D Video Converter and I'm not sure if that's still linked in the thread so you might be out of luck.

why should someone have to go through all that to watch 3d videos on a damn system made for 3D? Thats not very consumer friendly.

OT. I agree with the OP but not on the resolution. Glasses would make it even more cumbersome. Ive just accepted i dont care for the whole Window 3D. I much prefer the actual popup that glasses provide. Its no biggie i usually have the 3d off as it doesnt really add anything to the games at least they dont for me.

Whut? Glasses would solve the problem. No more blurry screens and no more stopping to readjust your position. Just pure, straight gaming, well not counting outside influences. It sounds like your problem is with the 3D itself, not it's implementation.

So if someone has to wear prescription glasses, they're screwed?

I would say they're screwed either way lol. But really I've seen people in my tech ed class wearing the safety goggles over their glasses, so perhaps they could do the same with 3D glasses. I don't wear glasses so I can't say how well that'd work.

safety goggles? what does that have to do with anything? As far as i know they dont make prescription goggles and if they  did i would imagine they would be expensive and there are very few that are willing to wear that just so they can play some 3d games on a tiny ass screen.

Just trying to point out the inherent flaw in your idea. Lots of people wear glasses and you cant say, well they're screwed and go aboutbusiness. Your cutting out a big chucnk of audience

Uhm, read my post and it'll tell you? If people can wear safety glasses over their regular ones, surely they can do similarly with 3D glasses. Also, 3D on the 3DS is purely optional, so no one would be getting excluded from the system itself. I'm still playing on it afterall. I doubt there are many who bought the 3DS just for the 3D, and for all we know the majority of 3DS users could not even be using the 3D, possibly for the same reasons as me.

Making it the only option would be ludicrous. Making it optional would be fine. (Sorry for bumping the thread.)

2 years after release I finally feel confident and safe to say that the 3D on the 3DS is awful and I hate it.

lol really, more "X because I say so!" logic? Surely you learned that way of thinking is flawed in the Mario Kart thread.

No, you're wrong. It's "X because me and 71 other people (in your own poll that you obviously put up for a reason) say so." Surely I'm not the only one who thinks glasses 3D for a handheld console is absolutely ridiculous. Did you want the 3DS to fail even more?

If the majority of a poll says the sky is green, does that make it so? lol no. Plus, VGChartz hardly accounts for the millions of 3DS users out there, and some of the people who voted may have been thinking of glasses free 3D as the idea in general, not specifically how it's implemented on the 3DS, an error on my part when making the poll question and thread title. How silly of me to assume everyone would read the OP first.

What a silly comparison.

If we took this poll in to "real life" and asked the "real live" 3DS owners if they would rather have Glasses-free 3D, 3D with glasses, or the option to use both; what do you think would be the outstanding leader in the poll? I can assure you that it won't be the one in italics.

Likewise I could assure you that it wont be the one that's underlined, but of course, all the assurance in the world won't mean anything here. These are just assumptions.
