yup, it's weird because the 3DS has a much larger marketshare.

Maybe the first one didn't do well enough overseas to warrant a sequel?

true, but there is already an unofficial english patch for the new one. Although i'm not a fan of the new one myself. It's a bit basic. Not as good as XI
