PS3 vs Xbox 360. Graphical Horsepower.

I will admit it, PS3 exclusives do look better than Xbox 360 exclusives.

Whoever was responsible for the engine that powered most of the PS3 exclusives did a damn fine job.

That engine utilizes the PS3's full potential and is a well balanced engine.

Now, the Xbox 360 did not utilize such an engine as it internally developed for the PS3.

Microsoft chose to go with the Unreal Engine 3 to power it's games.

Now while Unreal 3 games look great, I prefer the engine that is used for the PS3 as colors pop more and the set pieces look larger.

I don't know if anyone agree's with me on this.

The point I am making is that it is due to the engine, not technical power.

The only thing I can say is that if the PS3 is more powerful, why do multiplatform games perform better on Xbox 360?

After 5 years you would think developers would have a grip on the PS3's architecture. I don't think it is a matter of developers are

making the games for Xbox 360 and holding the PS3 back. If that was the case PS3 multiplatform games would at least be on par

with Xbox 360 games, which is not the case to this day.

It's because devs are lazy. Also not all multiplatform games are like that, look at Dark Souls.

It's the devs job to make a beautiful game, even if you provided them with an outdated engine. The Last Of Us, Halo 4 or Xenoblade Chronicles (Though I think The Last Story looks better) are exclusive examples of each console.

OMG my time machine works!! I m in 2008

Did some some say they had time machine...That some how broke mine and this old thread seems brand new..

Wait...you actually think all PS3 exclusives run on the same engine? Wat

I said most not all.

Wow this thread is so misinformed it's hilarious.

This thread is so ignorant that it's just sad not hilarious,
-"magical internal engine" for the PS3
-UE3 as a Microsoft chosen engine for Xbox 360 games
-multiplatform games not even on par on the PS3 (it's not 2009 anymore, there were those notable examples like Bayonetta, GTA 4, CoDs or ME3 but from 2009 and so on multiplats differences very mostly negligible, sometimes better on PS3 sometimes on X360 and I can come up with lists from Digital Foundry and Lens of Truth heads up to back this up)

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

DAFAK?!  You are wrong....waaaaay wrong.

You realize that 343 Industries specifically tried to get the most out of the 360 with Halo 4. That's why it's (arguably) the best looking game on the 360.
