Well, FC2 and FC3 were hugely different, only related in name and genre really. As long as it's an open world FPS in an exotic location, it can be Far Cry.

It's likely that they saw the huge amount of money they got from Far Cry 3 and now try to turn it into a yearly franchise like Just Dance and Assassins Creed.

Which also means that the quality shold be gone when Far Cry 5 hits the shelves.

That would be a mistake.

With AC it apparently works. It's one of few games that gets the luxury of yearly releases like COD and sports games, and still manages to be popular.

But Far Cry, no. They should be more humble and realize that FC3 sold well because it was a good game (at least according to Metacritic), but as a franchise it's is nowhere near the mass market "gimme more of my drug" status.

Personally, how do u rate FC3 and the AC series?

FC3 is one of the best shooters this gen. I would give it 9.3 and I hated FC2.

I'm not going to rate the AC series as a whole though. I was a huge fan, but after Revelations and AC3 it's pretty clear that the series has already seen it's high point.

AC1 - 9.0
AC2 - 9.5
ACBrotherhood - 9.3
ACRevelations - 7.8
AC3 - 8.0

I hated FC2 too. Haven't played FC3 yet.

I love AC, but AC Brotherhood is clearly not as good as AC2.

I'm glad you appreciate AC1. I loved it. You're one of few who give AC1 such a high score.

I know but they had 4 years between them and could make a great game and they did but there are only so many tropic areas in the world like Africa and the Pacific. I would like to see more Vaas though, maybe see why he ended up being a complete physco
