I had a lot of time to play games today and decided to play New Leaf.

I played for 3 hours and then...accidentally hit the power button and the game closed!

All my work in my AC life, gone...just like that.

I'm sad...

He is terrible...but cool...somehow.

Anyone else notice that their grass is dying, cause mine sure is! D:

Why is this happening and is there anyway to grow the grass back and/or prevent it from dying?

I really need to catch up to you guys regarding play time. I have only clocked 50 hours into my town. (At least it's in my Top 3 by Play Time Chart now! So, that's a thing!)

I also just got built a street lamp. Looks pretty snazzy near my fountain.

running over the same area reduces the grass.. slowly walk.. or design pathways

Seems like that wont stop it, and the only way to get the grass back is to not play for a week. Uber lames it is, just like how our online session ended. >.>

@NintendoPie: Why do you need to catch up to us? This isn't a race lol.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, it is reported that grass deterioration not only happens more slowly, but the damaged grass regrows faster. Also, when a Public Works Project has been completed and built, the grass under it will deteriorate instantly.

Fertilizer will not help restore grass. However, flowers can aid the process of grass regrowth. Rain and snow will also help grass slowly regrow.

Placing patterns on the ground such as paths protects the grass underneath from deterioration. It will not regrow any already-damaged grass, however.

^Thanks for that. I still just don't understand why Nintendo did this. If we want paths, we can just make them ourselves.

So apparently path patterns might actually save grass even though you run on it.  I believe my path patterns are saving mine even though I run on them constantly.  I try to walk everywhere else but sometimes that isn't always the case.
