Wow, that's really a dissapointment. I've had this happen to me in one game, except that it froze. I was trying to remember everything I did exactly so I could get to where I used to be!

Yes I really don't like where the power switch is situated now.  I've done it by habit where I've pressed the power down button instead of hitting home and lost my progress a few times.
