Forums - Nintendo - Should Nintendo expand Shin'en

Shin'en has made some pretty neat games like Fast League Racing and Nano Assault but apparently they only have like 4 or 5 guys, thats extremely impressive. I think it would be a good Idea for Nintendo to invest some money and let them expand there team and make a bigger game. Something like F-Zero or Star Fox would work well with there style of games.

I really like this idea. Although this probably would delay whatever they are doing right now first (since they would need to bring the new devs to their level first) it should pay off in the end^^

It seems like a no-brainer.

Ur right it would probably delay what there doing but would help in the long run. They have alot of potential and I think they could be the next Retro and really help Nintendo with there software output.

On a side note if Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 do well id like the partnership with Platinum to continue. Either let them do another new ip or something like Sin & Punishment or Custom Robo would be pretty cool.

Giving them resources to hire a few more people would be great. However, I wouldn't want them to become a significantly bigger developer, simply because, if the quality of a lot of these smaller indie games is any indication, smaller groups of people sometimes tend to make more creative, more intimate projects.

They should really do something about Shin'en. Talent is something they don`t seem to lack and even if they don`t go on to work on retail games, having them for eshop games would be a really good move.

Having someone else do Sin & Punishment or Custom Robo would be kind of a slap in the face to Treasure and and NOISE. For Noise, that's just about all they've ever done is Custom Robo games for Nintendo.  And Treasure has done such a good job with the first two Sin & Punishment games....why let someone else take over? It's their baby.

Just saying, I'm sure Shin'en have plenty of their own good ideas, they don't need to take over for other people's projects.

I wasnt sure who made the previous games Iin those series, I have no problem with those teams keeping them. I just really want a new Custom Robo, I really liked the one on Gamecube and its been too long since a new one was released.

Also I said Shin'en should do Star Fox or F-Zero, Platinum is who I said could do S&P/Robo. But I agree those teams are def good enough to make new interesting ip's. Theres just a couple Ninendo ip's tjat have been dormant for too long and idc who makes them, they just need to come back!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I just dont want to see there talent go under appreciated, it would be a waste of they didnt use there full potential. A game like Star Fox or F-Zero could possibly be done by a relatively small team, especially sonce they have a background on those genres.

Shin'en are a very technically talented developer, Nintendo should use them as tech consultants on a larger project.
