In other words, Kinect will turn off when you unplug the system.

At first I was pretty pleased with this news...until I read that little tidbit. I personally don't really care if Kinect is watching me (I haz nothing to hide!) but I know it's a pretty big deal for a lot of other people.

Couldn't they get into trouble in some countries for having it required to be on whenever the console is on?

I've heard rumblings along those lines, especially regarding some European laws, but I don't know for sure myself.
