I will get a PS4 but depending on SONY's stance will probably only use it for games absolutely not coming to Wii U.

Seems like there will be a lot of them.

absolutely not. Remember, I am a Japanesey gamer. I do not support/play western games. The only studios stepping up to say im not making games for Nintendo come from where?

You said you wouldn't get Sony's first parties if they go DRMish, right? So I guess Japan Studio is out of the question. Remeber that Square and Capcom don't necessarily release everything in Nintendo's consoles as well, we don't know if more developers go the "keep away from Nintendo route", it is a possibility. There's also JRPGs that have released for PS3 exclusively as well. Apart from that, man, I don't even know how the freaking PS4 even looks, how can I tell you what games are coming in the future? lol

No? I dont buy SONY first party unless it is SONY Japan and thats 1 game gen. PS is 3rd party. My original post stated that I will plan to majority support Nintendo and any games not on Wii U that I absolutely have to have will be bought on PS4 especially if SONY takes a stance similar to MS. Sorry if I didnt answer a question I kinda confused right now.

I think I read Sony Japan recognized the lack of flow in games they've had this generation and seemed to plan going full-force this gen, so maybe it won't be one game per generation this time. The rest fair enough. I will just clarify: "PS is 3rd party" for you. :)

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

You expecting Capcom and Squeenix's good stuff to be on the Wii U now?

Monster Hunter on Wii U....

Dragon Quest on Wii U....

Handheld game port and last generation game port. May as well toss in Deus Ex and RE: Revelations.

Dragon Quest X is not a handheld game but an MMO.

Capcom and Square Enix will support the Wii U. I don't get the point you are trying to make. Furthermore, what you may claim as ''good stuff'' might be different for someone else. Once again, I am lost by what you are trying to reiterate.

I'm aware re: Dragon Quest. But Monster Hunter is a 3DS game. The two versions even launched simultaneously in the West. I'm not saying these aren't good games (other than Dragon Quest, all three are quality products, although I lean much more towards the two Capcom titles myself). I'm pointing out that they're no more indicative of top-tier A-team support than having RE: 4 Wii Edition was for the Wii. Or are you submitting that the top-tier Capcom and Squeenix games are coming to Wii U soon?

i don't know about xbox but sure psn used to be terrible for prices and brand new games are £40-£50 but everything else is/can be pretty cheap these days i find with loads of games £20 and under

One will see at E3. I strongly believe that Capcom and Square Enix top-tier games will be released on the Wii U. Capcom and Square Enix will concentrate on Japanese content for the Wii U; however, Western games will be absent from their release schedule. This is how I see things played out.

The audiences will be seperated: - Top-tier Japanese franchises will be on Wii U

                                                              - Top-tier Japanese ''Western'' franchises will be on PS4 & XBONE

Wii U will get better support from Japan than it got last generation.

I see. Care to make things ... interesting?

I think the following might apply:

Capcom (JPN - Wii U) - Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter and MegaMan (if brought back)

Capcom (WEST - PS4 + XBONE) - Resident Evil, DMC, Street Fighter and Lost Planet

Square-Enix (JPN - Wii U) - Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy spin-off + maybe mainline (depending if Square Enix wants to expand and if rumours are true that Sony is funding the next Final Fantasy game)

Square-Enix (WEST - PS4  XBONE) - Eidos branch, Final Fantasy mainline, Kingdom Hearts (PS4 only, no Xbone release)

In the case of Nintendo...

They don't offer price protection.
Their games are re-playable-so they have a longer hold time.

Used games don't really bother them much because think about it. If you are a kid, you have limited funds. You become fans of a series/game by borrowing the game maybe. (Happened to me a bunch of times)
Maybe then you buy the sequel.

Besides for some reason Nintendo games refuse to fall in price. 49.99 all generation and used copy 44.99. I'd really rather just pick up the new one. And then there are games that are 59.99 at launch and 39.99 used 1 month later. Maybe it was just a bad game if people are rushing to trade it in?

Nintendo is subliminally telling people to keep their games. Starcoins, triforce, and such are all collectathons. You must collect. Don't sell. Collect. Hoard. Iwata-MUHAHAHA
