If it wasn't meant to be a "full" gaming console it shouldn't of been called the Xbox. It should of been sold as some restricted PC, the OS looks the same as windows 8 anyway
Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

It blocks reselling games by destroying demand in the used games market. I'd basically have to give the games away for people to want to buy them.

but who bought have to pay for M$ not for you
When people said that Nintendo products were kiddy, I had no problem with that. A console to me is a toy, a very expensive electronic toy, but a toy non the less.
Ever since Microsoft came in the gaming industry with the online subscription, I was wary about where they were going with this, it was becoming more than just a expensive electronic toy.
Granted, Sony started with this trend with playing soundtrack CD's, but it didn't affect the industry much...
Now I see Microsoft is making console much more than just a toy that is affecting the gaming industry very negatively. I can't play with my toys freely anymore. When did it ever become that I need to pay for a subscription to give me permission to play with my toy...
Think about it:
Make a profit to make games
Make games to make a profit
At some point, these same words flipped and it's doing more bad than good...
