Forums - Gaming - Was the n64 next gen??

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I love the stupid, parochial bullshit they use to promote next-gen game engines. XD

That Call of Duty video was pathetic in how it tried to pass of things we've had for generations as new and exciting.

They could have tried to focus on the visual improvement (but I didn't see any of those visuals particularly surprising compared to other games already announced for this next generation), but no, they had to resort to escaping fish. lol They could have done that shit even with their outdated and crippled engine for this generation.

What kind of dumbass question was that? For it's time, for THAT GEN, the N64 was the most powerful hardware on the market. It's games had the best graphics and the most outright impressive mechanics/engines of that gen. It was in many ways far more powerful than the the PS1 or Saturn, basically the Xbox of it's generation. It's ONLY real drawback was the cartridge medium.

But when looking at games like Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, Star Fox 64, Turok 2, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Conker's Bad Fur Day, etc., the difference was obvious.

You didn't watch the video, bravo.

You bothered pointing that out. Congrats.
