It's games had the best graphics and the most outright impressive mechanics/engines of that gen. It was in many ways far more powerful than the the PS1 or Saturn, basically the Xbox of it's generation. It's ONLY real drawback was the cartridge medium. But when looking at games like Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, Star Fox 64, Turok 2, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Conker's Bad Fur Day, etc., the difference was obvious. |
