No negativity allowed guys. Everyone is happy. Great features. This forum is becoming a laughing stock. Vgchartz is the only place to read negative reaction about the console.

or IGN, CVG, Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, Kotaku, in fact can you actually tell me 1 website thats not been negative?

I deny it.

Okay, so you deny that people who know about the complete fuckups from Microsoft will be talking to other people about it? You deny that?

Why do you deny it?

Youre ignoring what Im saying.

Im saying that the people in the know will still be socialising with the people not necessarily in the know.

It doesnt matter that the vast majority dont follow forums. What matters is people, telling other people. When there is an overwhelming negativity coming from your core userbase, that core userbase will talk about it to friends and family. They will talk about it face to face and over social media.

Millions of people know about the Xbox One. When people are talking about the Xbox One, these problems will come up in conversation.

I believe that the people they socialise with are still a tiny fraction of the total, and they won't have any retention of the information their friend is telling them.

I don't think millions of people know about Xbox One's problems. I believe 2-3m could name the new Xbox. But nowhere close to that would be informed about the things the forums care about.

word of mouth and social media is what drove nintendo from "leaving the industry" to "leading the industry".  you can deny it all you want, you'll still be wrong.  i've talked to plenty of casual to non-gamers about xbone.  they came to ask me cause they know i follow gaming so closely to basically ask "is it as bad as i've been hearing?".

the news is out there, especially amoung the 30 and under crowd that is the main audience that would by an xbone.

Yes, the Wii worked. POST. LAUNCH. And it didn't filter outwards from the hardcore either. At this point in the cycle, no one except the Nintendo core were hyped for the Wii.

Your circle of friends is not representative. This is what I'm trying to say. We're all in the core bubble where everything we do or see seems massively important.

Meh, we will see. Were both working off assumptions.

they aren't my friends.  they're colleagues.  colleagues far removed from the core bubble i live in.  i believe it is called "watercooler" talk.
