Yes, the Wii worked. POST. LAUNCH. And it didn't filter outwards from the hardcore either. At this point in the cycle, no one except the Nintendo core were hyped for the Wii.

Your circle of friends is not representative. This is what I'm trying to say. We're all in the core bubble where everything we do or see seems massively important.

they aren't my friends.  they're colleagues.  colleagues far removed from the core bubble i live in.  i believe it is called "watercooler" talk.
