Even multiplats? Will PS4 games be using P2P then?
Seems unlikely. Sony just like Microsoft would demand a parity of features.

Many titles, especially EA titles, have little features and abilities only on 360. For example in Madden you can tell not only that your friend is playing Madden, but what the quarter and score are. On PSN you just get "Madden NFL 13". Idk how Sony would enforce something like this unless they wanna build their own stable of 300k+ servers for cloud utilization.

Also, just curious, do you believe the supposed power gap in the two consoles would result in much better 3rd party games on PS4? Because the logic in this post would imply you believe the extra PS4 power will be mostly squandered.

Demanding PS4 games to be dumbed down to match the lower spec XBox One is ridiculous. Microsoft wouldn't do it, the difference wouldn't make enough of a difference to make Microsoft care.

Having dedicated servers on a X1 and P2P on PS4 is a huge difference. It makes a difference in online gameplay.I don't really know if Sony can demand parity, but gamers will. Most publishers have their own dedicated servers though.

Around the Network

Wtf they didnt do this years ago? ps3's had a tonne of games that use dedicated servers I thought the 360 already had this :/

this is just awesome for gamers across all consoles who are interested in gaming online, hopefully no more paid lag :P

LMAO... where else are they going to use their 300,000 elite servers.

One of the few things I commend MS about for the XBO by the way.

Yay!!!
