I don't get it... The PS4 will more likely than not look very similar.

Personally I think it looks sleek and hi-tech, so does my girlfriend and several of my friends. Online though.... it's another story....

WRONG!!!!  The PS4 will be SQUARE!!!  Not that LOSER rectangle of the Xbox One.

j/k

Pezus, i was talking about form factor and noise, PRECISELY NOT the aesthetics

Gc was BY far the best design that gen isnt even arguable

On the other hand i think WiiU is too big and makes a lot of noise for what i expected from Nintendo, compared to others is still ok

Plus same can be applied to N64 and SNES both having the superior design in those matters

Well, it's going to be an important part of the living room. Plus the moms who will tell "I don't want this in my home, that's ugly". That could really have an impact on sales.

The design is important for me of course, but I'm a gamer first and foremost and it's not like a have a choice. If Microsoft would come up with more models of xbone I would probably choose another one, because the current one is indeed ugly for my taste.

From the look of the PS4 teaser, it may not be much better, which is a bummer but I'm not skipping its games because of it, that would be ridiculous.

The problem is: form follows function. If you remember the picture from wired with the big fan and the motherboard, they didn't have a big chance to build it another way.

Well it is just a black box you'll put under your television any way.

That's what I tell myself every morning...

Sort of, as i don't want a huge and bulky system. Xbox One looks huge. I perfer the consoles to be smaller so they are easier to transport around, if i wanted to take it with me on holiday

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

At least it is stackable which is great when having other hardware. Given how many AVRs look like it will fit into setups better than before.

But with the vents on the top of the console wouldn't it have to be on top of whatever you're stacking (so the vents aren't blocked?).  Having to always be on top would make it just as stackable as the PS3 in the end.
