I doubted whether microsoft will do this alone but ultimately though its about profit and not Unit sales. The Xbox One will be a hit I don't doubt. The people who only buy COD, FIFA and maybe one other game a year really do not care about used games. What microsoft will loose from the 10m or so consumers through this arrangement may be recouped by the amount of money they will make from enforcing this policy.
