Forums - Microsoft - I Really Like the Design of the Xbox One Now.

I think it looks sharp, but I am sure the later "slim" revision will look much, much better.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Looks too much like my DirectTV box.

"Trick shot? The trick is NOT to get shot." - Lucian

I really dislike the checkered pattern they have going on. If it weren't for that I think it would look fine, albeit a bit boring.

It looks fine.

I'm just glad it doesn't look like this...

It's about as generic, inobtrusive and inoffensive as any console ever designed. It's actually kind of amusing that gamers would express any sort of outrage or disgust over the design given that it appears to have been designed specifically NOT to be a living room eyesore or controversial in any way. Microsoft wants consumers using these as their set top boxes and set top boxes are not designed to draw attention.

But I suppose hardcore gamers can "mod" theirs with some racing stripes, a custom paint job, or maybe some flame decals until the inevitable game themed special editions are released.

It's a lot less clunky looking than the Xbox and cleaner than the 2006 Xbox 360, which looked like a mid 2000s era Dell desktop PC. Doesn't exactly scream "Fun Box" but then again, it's what the box does (not even what's inside) that counts.

The PS3 Cheap.

People wanted cheap; they got it.

Despite being a little on the large side it seems unobtrusive, I imagine that even ten years from now it wouldn't look outdated and could still take pride of place at the centre of an entertainment hub.

When I was a kid we had a vcr that look just like it so +1 on the nostalgia Microsoft

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I think the vents look bad.
