Forums - Microsoft - Devs express disappointment with Xbox One over Twitter

The funny thing is, Xbox One is going to be #2 next generation! Wii U must be one piece of crap in your guy's eyes.

The sad saga continues. Everyone thought Nintendo was the on that didn't "get it" but it's MS that doesn't get it. The Xbox One blunders are making Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's N64 blunders look like pure genius at this point. Anyone continuing to support their behavior needs to take their fanboy blinders off. If MS' succeed with their restrictive policies it will set a poor precedent and you'll likely see Sony and Nintendo follow suit.

Wow the fact that you are stating this is really telling about the whole situation.

I'm not sure why my opinion would carry any more weight than anyone else. Just calling it like I see it.

I'm pretty sure he is not complaining about you

the title is not misleading, Indie devs are devs too.

So true, thats rather disrespectful to discount them just because they express disappointment in Microsoft. Very militant behavior as if one is in a certain position of power they deserve to speak. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter who they express disappointment or joy for, they are making games that we will all eventually seen and respond to if we consider ourselves core gamers who play a variety of games, so respect is due.

Lets be honest, these are not the most important developers in console gaming. Their feelings hold less significant than developers from major studios.

If major developers were speaking out, that's big news. But the developer of Meat Boy and VVVVVVV are speaking out? Yawn!!!!!

Yeah, it is not as if Notch's Minecraft outsold about every game on the Xbox360 not called "Call of Duty"...

Who is even saying that?  Really, no one can say where the consoles will place yet.  A lot can happen.  Wii U could be #1, it could also flop.  Same thing with PS4 and XBox One.  Games are the real driving force for a console and really we don't know fully what kind of support each system will get later in their life cycle.

Microsoft makes great games that are well received by critics and sell quite well (they even sold more games than Sony this gen). They really forced Sony to work harder, make superior games, create a good online infrastructure, and not just rely on 3rd parties to push their hardware. MS is also great at marketing so its no wonder they dominate markets.

Fixed

Are you serious?  You may think so, but Xbox One is still going to win the US market thus putting them at #2.  Japanese and Europeans will buy the PS4 and raise it to #1.  Wii U, even with all these good games releasing, will not be able to recover.  Sorry.  My name is Pokymon90, I love Nintendo, but this is fact.

Shhhhh... the guy from VVVVVVV is speaking.

Anyone hear from the guy that developed I MAED A GAME WITH ZOMBIES IN IT?!

All we know for certain, indie developers are bitter even though the 360 gave indie developers more support than other consoles.

Are the developers of MDK2 still waiting for their paycheck from NIntendo?

Ahem, what exactly is your problem? I only stated that Notch is an important developer. Talk about overreacting...
