350-400K first week USA. 600-800K first week world wide

Around the Network

UPDATED: I seriously doubt it can sell much more than 1m or as high as 1.2m first week and 5m+ lifetime. It could JUST reach 1m week 1, will probably pass 4 million lifetime but it's extremely unlikely to hit 5 million without a ton of bundling.

The only reason the the Uncharted series sales range around 5m+ is due to mass bundling. Take away 500K from UC1, 1m from UC2 & 1.5m from UC3 (the level of mass bundling increased with every game) then with UC1 at 4.07m, UC2 at 5.17m & UC3 at 4.37m you have roughly how popular the games really are averaging 4.54m (don't get me wrong, still very popular). Please don't argue about this, just accept the truth and move on.

With GT6 coming out later this year I don't think TLoU will get much in the way of bundling other than a limited edition bundle for a few weeks/months. It will not have the same boost UC2 or UC3 had, that's for sure.

Looking at its US pre-orders, I think it should at least add another 100K and end up at 393K. Now add another 70K to that and you have 463K first week in the US. It will probably do less in Europe, perhaps around 350K+. In Japan it will do something like 37K, which totals 0.85m.

I forgot to take into account sales from 'Others', so it might actually have a chance at hitting 1m first week, if it can add 0.15m from others then it'll hit 1m, I think it will just, JUST, make it. If not it will come short by no more than 20K. By the end of this year it should pass 2.2m. In 2014 it will sell another 800K. In 2015 = 450k. 2016 = 150K. 2017 = 75K. Then maybe another 50K onwards.

Lifetime, I'm predicting it'll sell 3.73 million by itself in addition to it receiving +500K (4.23m) from UC1 level bundling, +1m (4.73m) from UC2 level bundling or +1.5m (5.23m) from UC3 level bundling. I think it'll only receive UC1 level bundling so 4.23m is my final prediction.

If they are correct that is. I'm hoping they are and if they are I can see 500,000-600,000 first week in USA. Maybe more and over 1.2 million WW first week.

Yeah man i hope so too,uc3 sold more than 1.3m first week so if TLOU sells only more than a million first week it would be frickin aweosme!

I may even revise my predictions up if the preorders sky rocket in the coming weeks.  Kinda bad relying on numbers we don't know if are true, but there is nothing else to go on.  And, yeah if a new IP can sell close to what the third game in an established franchise did then that is awesome.

They will definitely sky rocket in the coming weeks i'm sure of that, but why do you think that the preorder numbers are not correct?

They could be correct, but we just don't know.  And considering how reliable VGchartz has been this last year, they could have it overtracked or undertracked.

Should do really good opening week, 600-650k ww first week is my prediction. 900k if they make it a tv show though since that is the new "trend" :)

Pre-ordered today at SONY.com.br here in Brazil, I am really excited about THE LAST OF US.

On topic: I predict 800k first week worldwide and 4 million lifetime sales.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

It is tracking ahead of GoW:Ascension by 63,474 copies for the same number of weeks before release. And GoW:Ascension went on to sell 620,000 copies in March in the US.

This is Sonys next killer app.

The same could be said for Forza and Halo

It's doing amazing. But it's not gonna sell like Uncharted 3. Come on guys, be realistic.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey
