why announce anything that isn't finalised? It's not like anything been kept a secret here

Think MS just thought gamers would take the conference better. It didn't, and now its plan B.

The main problem to me has been the complete lack of consistency. My friend and I have been trying to piece together the information, but it is really really not clear. There are some simple things that they should really really have made 100% clear such as the installs and probable non-need for a disk

It won't effect me personally as I only ever buy new, but it is not a good way to get momentum before E3 and doesn't build confidence in this system

Sony is being equally dodgy about it too, but they seem to have done rather better at dodging the criticism, I am not sure why though

You would of though from the negative response the rumours got they would of made sensible decisions about these things, not actually confirm them
