Forums - Microsoft - Multiple accounts can use a single Xbox Live subscription on the One

http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/22/xbox-live-multiple-accounts/

If you joined us for the Xbox One reveal yesterday, you'll probably know that amidst all the excitement, we learned that a single Xbox Live Gold membership will cover both the 360 and the next-gen console. Good stuff -- no extra expenditure, subscription sign-ups or other irritations. But, it gets even better, as a couple of Microsoft bigwigs told Polygon that Live memberships can also used by multiple profiles. That means several accounts can be created on one console, for discrete friends lists, personal Home screens and the like, but they'll all be able to feed off the same subscription. We're not sure how this'll work exactly, but it already sounds better than the Gamertag-specific membership model on the 360, which is responsible for far too many amazing kill stats being lost to the dreaded "Guest" account.

Hellz ya. One less thing!

Shame, I used to let my sister use my account for her MP games. It gave my gamertag a nice boost lol. O well.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

At last! "One" good news for the XboxOne.

Oh just give up... I know its fun to constantly rattle the cage for something you dislike but its getting really old.

So Family Gold was discontinued to make way for an upgrade to standard gold. Cool.

It is pretty much the only possitive info, that is ONLY possitive for the consumer, yet.
Sure, 'the bashing is getting old' but some of the info that is coming out is just crazy & shouldn't be accepted.. imo.

What are you people smoking, only positive info?

Some of you don't understand jack when it comes to technology benefits here. There is a ton of positives when it comes to the new Xbox One even when it comes to this digiatl distribution and DRM.

- You don't have to worry about games being scratched ever

- Games and game saves follow you around anywhere you go. No need to carry disks around.

- Games and gameplay can dynamically change on the fly since they are not tied to the disk

- Games have a potential of being cheaper and Microsoft is implementing a method for gamers to resell used games directly to each other

If you were to list every improvement Xbox One is bringing to the table you would have one massive thread. However the community here is just focusing one 2 things they will no longer be able to do. "borrow" games from friends and buy used games.

Its just sad...
