Well I woke up this morning, started out by watching the Xbox One Conference, followed by panels, interviews and thoughts from sites, currently reading dozens of threads and hundreds of posts on here about Xbox One, some good threads with well informed comments from users who are looking for proper debate, and as usual on the internet the comments that quite frankly aren't well made.
But now it's my turn, I'm very positive about Xbox One (As well as PS4 and WiiU).
Name, Design, Operating System and process
- Name:
Let's start of with the name, "Xbox One". To be frank I would've gone for "Xbox", but I understand the reasoning behind it, not the best name ever but it beats all this recent "Fusion", "Infinity" and "Loop" nonsense, all in all, not great but solid.
- Design:
Personally (I know a lot of people disagree with me) I like the design of the controller, console and Kinect, it's simple, it has a clear branding and color patern and it's econimical. I like the fact that it's simply designed to stay horizontal, with the 360 I came across the fact that I put it vertical because it seemed better for airflow, and simply looked better, but I have cats, the 360 would occasional fall, with the Xbox One this is no longer a problem.
My only concern about the design was the controller, it seemed to differ somewhat from my favourite controller ever which is the 360 controller, but my mind has been put at ease. Having seen many pictures and videos as well as hearing positive thoughts from people who have been allowed to handle it, it appears it feels and works great in the hand.
- Operating System:
I like the Operating System, it may not be the best looker, but it's simple, it's fast and smooth, easy to control and feature rich. Snap Mode especially is great in my opinion. Out of what we've seen so far, I like it more than what Wii U and PS4 have been offering/seen to be offering(PS4).
- Process:
After the X360 there were a lot of users "concerned" that build quality would be poor in the Xbox One, from what I've seen and read however it looks/sounds to me like a solid quality build, Microsoft has seemingly done a lot of inhouse silicon, testing and design work to ensure that it releases as a quality working product.

Hardware and Games
- Hardware:
I'm not going to bullshit, I'm going to say it like it is: Xbox One is a powerful piece of kit, it's has better specifications than the WiiU, but it is a step behind the PS4 in processing power and RAM.
Between 5GB RAM for games, 8-core customized Jaguar, and DX11.1+ GPU we should all at least be able it accept that it's a strong system and is most definitely next gen.
But all that aside, the thing that has attracted me the most is the fact that it has an included Kinect with every box, and it has a 500GB HDD included with every box. The fact that it's one distinct option should be great for game developers (Especially the HDD), we all know it's a major pain in the ass for developers not knowing whether a console has a HDD or not.
- Hardware/Kinect:
I want a Kinect. No I don't want to play games with it. I want to because I want to talk to my console via my own Jarvis, I like now being able to go downstairs, being able to prepare my coffee and make my breakfast all the while being simply able to start my Xbox by talking to it, call someone whilst I'm in the kitchen, or simply just go straight to games so I can pick up the controller and play when I'm done in the kitchen.
I love the simple and clear voice commands for the system, skype and applications.

- Games:
Yes we have arrived to the games, and I'm not worried in the slightest. "Rip hardcore games" is one message a friend of a friend posted on his facebook after the reveal. He must have been watching a different reveal than me.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny, Forza Motosport 5, Quantum Break (So looking forward to this one), Thief, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, FIFA 14, Madden, UFC, NBA are just some of the games coming it Xbox One.
Ubisoft has confirmed Watch Dogs and AC4:BF are just 2 of 6 next-generation titles currently for Xbox One, with EA's and Microsoft relationship Star Wars games are a certain.
15 exclusives of which 8 are new ip's are targeted for the first year of Xbox One. Rare and Black Tusk are due to reveal their projects at E3, CryEngine 3 is certified and ready for Xbox One.
No sir, I'm postive Xbox One is a hardcore games machine, the fact that I can do so much more on it doesn't change that, it only enhances my value for my buck.
To take-away:
At the end of the day I'm conviced that Xbox One is going to go along great with the PS4 and WiiU that I'll be having in my living room, if you've read this far I applaud you and hope you'll make so informed and constructive comments about your opinion.
- Thanks Guys.

So what did you think about the reveal mate?
