Well actually alot of poor countries still use SD TV, Heck NZ still hasn't faised them fully out yet and we're not a poor country. probably 70% of the country is on HD. I still have 2 SD tvs running all the time in my house and only got an HD tv last year lol. Being a student and wanting to game is costly, I would rather upgrade my console then my TV.

Many games released this gen infact look better on on a tube tv then an HD panel.  And unless you are getting the very best of Hd tv's i still think the colours look better on tube Tv's.  Plus the games seem more responsive.

No big deal. No one should be even considering a next gen console if they don't even have an HDTV. Especially for text heavy games(if you don't understand this, please stop gaming).
