Forums - Microsoft - Kinect causes trouble for 360 owners during conference.

Xbox 360 Kinect owners had some trouble today watching Microsoft's Xbox One reveal due to device's response to "Xbox" commands spoken during the livestream.

Several users took to Twitter to document their problems, which included pausing, opening Xbox Live or quitting the stream entirely. Polygon's own reviews editors Arthur Gies experienced similar problems with his Kinect while watching the stream.

Basically, every time the presenter said a "XBox: +" command the Kinect would respond, causing streams to end.

Figures we could use a bit of funny right about now.

That must have been really funny to watch! :D
It sucks for the people watching but, really funny. I`m guessing MS didn`t thought of that.

thats odd i watched on live while talking to my nephew via kinect didnt have a problem

no problem here. Watched it on the console with Kinect turned on.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

when i was watching the conference... in the part where the guy kept saying Xbox + command, i was wishing for someone in the audience to say "Xbox Off" just for the LOLs... but no one there have my sense of humor...

I also watched on live (actually twice, cause my friend wanted to see it and had to work.)

It worked perfectly both time. I have Kinect on all the time, and never had a problem with the sound from the speakers effect Kinect.

I don't know if these people are foolin, or if they didn't calibrate or something else. Here is a good demo of the current voice controls:

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

That is actually hilarious XD hahahahaha

Apparently this was caused by an improper calibration of Kinect by the user (e.g. moved Kinect unit or their speakers without recalibrating Kinect), resulting in the sounds from the TV no longer being properly filtered.
