Well if voice commands and gestures are required to use the sytem, its a negative.

Some people just want to use a controller.

It does set it apart from other consoles though. That's either good or bad.

do you really think you can't use the controller to navigate anymore?  i don't believe that.

it's an essential part of the xbox one and not really a surprise. it's like saying a car needs tires or a smartphone needs a display.

What about using the controller to overlay a side dashboard on the TV and a keyboard on the bottom or top when searching for stuff?

Kinect is only essential because Microsfot wants it to be.

No. But I do believe that Kinect will be buncled in and for that to be worth it, they would need to make Kinect be useful. The only way to do that is to make certain OS functions Kinect-only.

Just turn the camera around and no one is going to watch you LMAO

Yay!!!

We've known this for a while now. Thank You Vgleaks.

This is yet another negative feature of the Xbox. People won't like getting stuff forced on them.

How is it a negative feature thats forced on them?

I mean, I could understand if the Kinect didnt come as a pack in, but it does.

Im pretty sure you can either go up to the console and touch the power button or just say Xbox on... I dont think thats a very big negative.

well, but maybe they only have those os functions because of kinect? you complain to get something with kinect which you probably wouldn't have without kinect. same with the smartglass stuff, because of that they work on stuff you can use with the media possibilities and smartglass. without smartglass they would probably not work on as example the nba draft stuff you can see on the right site of your tv when you watch a nba game.

they could also have no kinect and smartglass and not the functions they have because of it and you would be happy...

Then why is Kinect required to be always plugged in? If you could use the console without Kinect then why not sell a model without it?

seeing as the new Xbox is going to have added TV functionality i think this was a negligent move, what if people dont want a long camera on or near their TV's

That doesnt mean that kinect is required to actually TURN IT ON..
