PS4 is the most powerful. The mere fact that Microsoft didn't go into details is proof of that.

Your statement is based on what you want to be true, not on logic.

I believe that applies to you, not me. I'm using logic in assuming that since they didn't boast about specs, or release them to the press, that they are hiding them, like Nintendo did with the Wii U. They will rely on marketing and PR to make people think the console is more powerful.

We know the specs though, we've had them for months. It's not a huge difference in power but it is enough to make a difference, especially in exclusives.

Your statement is a logical fallacy of the following form:

If A Then B; B, => A

Or in plainer terms:

If Xbox One is weaker than PS4 Then Microsoft will not boast of the specs.

Microsoft did not boast of the specs.

Therefore Xbox One is weaker than PS4.

This is logically incorrect.

The specs have already been confirmed. Eat crow. I was right, leaks were right. Are you ready to apologize?

Was my post not clear enough? Do the rules of logic escape you completely? Are you pathologically unable to realize when you have made a mistake and must try to make it seem like you were not wrong at any cost?

Here's a hint: I don't care what system is 'stronger'. It is impossible to construct a problem that holds less interest to me then a technical spec comparison between these two consoles. I am however interested in rational thought and proper arguments.

That's why your link has 0.000 % impact on what I am saying. The laws of logic are timeless and a logically incorrect argument does not become valid just because the conclusion happenes to be true. You based your argument on a logical fallacy, which means the whole argument is invalid. That's not really an opinion, it's a fact. A fact I pointed out to you, and also explained as clearly as I think it's possible why your argument is logically flawed. You can chose to pretend that just because some gameinformar link says whatever it says that your argument is sound, but you would be wrong.

My 2 yr old PC has more RAM than the PS4 and XB1 combined =D

Also, what's the talk about these transistors and stuff, I mean, are they really that relevant, since I'd assume they'd be close anyway? What do transistors do exactly? o.O

I'm not too bothered about which is the most powerful, I just want to look at pretty things!

I mean, I'll be buying the PS4 first anyway, since I like their first party games better, and Playstation is more associated around the RPG genre, lol. I'll end up with an XBOX ONE sometime though, maybe Christmas next year...

lol.. i was looking for that my self lol.... especially since they touted 5 billion transistors and  ps4 has 3 billion.

Already have a thread on this.

Far more details and been around since 2011.

Fact is...

WiiU <<<< XOne < PS4.

PS4 has faster/better RAM and a slightly better GPU. However, the majority of games will be identical between them.

So really, does it matter?

im not sure about this but i read somewhere that the PS4 CPU is 2ghz comparted to the xbox's 1.6. not sure though

The PS4 will be the most powerful, XboxOne will be a leap compare to the 360 ,but Microsoft is going to go with Nintendo tactics and go their direction with the console with all the features it have, same with the Wii U. This gen is going to be fun :3

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

How much RAM does the PS4 have to access games, do you know? and what's a Bluray Drive 6xCAV? I know it's 6 speed, but what's CAV? They should have gone faster, don't bluray drives go like 12x and over in terms of read speed?

Rumors point to 7GB for games. Sony has yet to confirm it but it seems likely that's what it will be.
About the Blu-Ray drive.  http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/214141-DVD-Writer-vs-Recorder-CAV-vs-CLV

"CLV = speed of disc rotation is changed to maintain a constant transfer rate from the inner most to outer most edge of the disc.

CAV = Speed of disc rotation is constant, thus the transfer rate is slowest towards the inner edge, while it is the fastest at the outer edge.

P-CAV = a combination of CAV and CLV.

Z-CLV = the disc is divided into " CLV zones" each of which are written to at a constant speed. For example, a 12x write might be divided into 6x, 8x, 10x, and 12x zones.

Z-CLV can be slow, I have heard of instances where a 16X Z-CLV burn took longer than a 12x CAV."

There is all this evidence in the form of rumors and leaks combined with the info given(or not given) out today + taking into account the costs that a Kinect 2.0 would add + researching what type of RAM would best suited an App-focused platform = The next XBox is using DDR3.

I made a logical conclusion from all this information I have gathered. It wasn't a random guess or what I hope is true. I just layed out to you how I came to this conclusion. No mistakes were made on my part.

We don't know enough about either one yet. From what we do know, PS4 is stronger by a small amount. A slightly larger gap than PS3 and 360.

The difference between 3 billion and 5 billion seems big since y'know... it's almost double lol, but what advantages does it give? We need answers!

Transistors also find a major use in logic circuits (ie, where signals can either be a '0' or a '1'), where they essentially act as a switch, and can be used to create inverters, AND gates, OR gates, and all sorts of useful components.

thats a lot of instant logic
